Stout By Brew Estate Chandigarh

Stout :
It is a dark beer with a after taste that is remotely like that of coffee, in beer terms is one hell of a strong beer with an alcohol percentage of above 8 %. Stout being a strong beer is a little more bitter  than the Lager we are used to, it should not be confused with a Dunkel; which is also a dark beer but is brewed in a different way. Now taste wise you cannot exactly differentiate between the two, it is said beauty lies in the eyes of the beer holder, the same goes for the taste difference some of us may notice a variation and then there are people like me who are yet to figure out the difference between a Dark Chocolate understate and a mild roasted coffee bean after taste.

Now that we have the definition clear we dive right into the review...
Location : Brew Estate Sector 35 Chandigarh
Beer Under study : Stout
Sample's Under Study : 4

Point 1 " the Wak Factor "  :

Considering it is a strong beer, stout are a bit high on the bitter content which in turn leads to a slightly increases wak factor. That being said, the wak reduces after the first few gulps as the system starts enjoying the bitter taste. The Brewery claims an alcohol percentage of around 8 % which is among the highest on sale in the region. Interesting point to note is for a Super Strong beer range of 8% the stout does not have a over bearing hoppy taste.
Wak Factor : 3.5

Point 2 " The Chuggability "

This is a heavy beer and is a tad too crisp for a chugging battle.
By Crisp the CO2 in the beer is on the higher side making it a little rough when gulped down at a faster rate, that being said it is among the easiest beers I've Chugged when Flat ( not a recommended practice )
On the scale of 5, The Stout is a Strong 2.5.

Point 3 : " Paagi Thekka Kithe "

Given that the beer in study is a Craft, specially brewed by the Brew Estate, it is a no brainier even considering the spread. The beer is limited to three outlets of BrewEstate, Sector 35 Chandigarh, Sector 26 Chandigarh and some where in Patiala ( All three locations are in Punjab, India )
Unfortunately protocol dictates a score of 1.

I wish they start with a gallon keg take away system like the brewmasters have, the beer may be worth a 4 hour bus journey once or twice at max but in the end it is just beer and I'll move on to the generic Bottled options I have at Amritsar.

Point 4 : " Monetary Matters "

God bless happy hours and one plus one, for about 350 with taxes you get a Liter of Beer. An average Beer-da-Vinci will have about 4 Brit Pints before wrapping up the night and heading home with still some cash left for Uber or Ola, if snacking is kept to a minimum.
It does not get better than this,it is the most pocket friendly Dark Beer I've had to date be it at a bar or directly from the liquor store, its a clear 5 point on the budget scale.

Point 5 : " Naam me kya Rakha Hai "

Brewery's tend to over do the namkaran of their products and at times we end up with such complex names for shitty drinks, fortunately sense prevailed and they call it the STOUT. Its a Craft Draught and gets a 4 on the 5 point scale.

The Conclusion :
It is the best dark beer on sale in and around Punjab, it may not be their bestseller as we Punjabis are not used to a beer that is not a Lager or is not blonde in appearance. This beer has potential to possibly over come the Blonde dominance and probably introduce a new trend of brunette dominance and probably making way for the big daddy of bitter Beers.
