Corona Is BACK

I have waited so long for the Maize(y) froth less brewed goodness from MEXICO to get its arse back to the liquor vends in Punjab, and it is finally here.
A Pale Lager and it is actually quite pale, with a dull straw colored watered down body and a minimal white head that is and should not be called a " HEAD ".
Take a Whiff of CORONA and take a Whiff of raw corn the similarities are abundant, and that is a good thing since this pale lager is among the few maize dominant beers available in the Indian beer scene and it stays true to the promise of a Light bodied Corn beer with a minimal hint of the grassy hop feel that at best is hidden in the sweetness form the iota of rice they add in the Beer.


Alcoholmeter rating or Daaru ki Pappi
4.5 % is not bad, most medium beers with the same alcohol content get a tad bitter in the end and practically piss like when flat and lukewarm but not the corona, it hides the 4.5 % in the sweetness of the corn and rice, and it hides it exceptionally well.

A six pack of corona and I'm buzzing like a Bee, but not buzzing enough to lose control of my senses and make stupid decisions like ordering more corona.

Wak Factor :
The scale would not go under a 0 and this beer is at the minimum possible WAK.
No wonder Vin Diesel is always chugging on these in the Fast and Furious movies, this beer is just so easy to drink. It feels like water with some bitter stuff and there fore we give it a ZERO wak.

Paagi Thekka Kithe
I have no idea kithe, this is one RARE beer.
2 Points for availability with grace marks but this beer needs some finding.

Monetary Matters :
280 for a bloody pint,that is preposterous. I don't have an adjective to represent the phrase " extremely uncool ", no wonder V.Diesel had to become a big game thief; this beer is expensive and being a PUNJABI if I spend money I need to get a little tipsy and unless I spend a few thousand on Corona that is not possible.
280 Rupees for a Pint from the liquor store is expensive ,there fore one point. 

Chuggability
we have a winner here, 5 Points.
Chug it like you Chug water, it is literally so simple.

Thunderbolt Premium Extra Strong BEER

Its been a month since the last time a good beer travelled north of Delhi, deep into the heart of Punjab. With the supreme court tightening the noose around the supply of Alcohol, aapna thekka Chandigarh is rendered useless. We Punjabi's are stuck with an old stock of super strong beer and we take on the Thunderbolt tonight Super bloodystrong beer, 8.25 % alcohol volume, a very bitter after taste. CARLING Premium Strong

My Thekka or the Liquor Store I buy my stock from called up About a New batch with Carling and Haywards etc had come in, and I would no longer have to make do with the Thunderbolt. So we picked up our Helmet and Rode down to the thekka in the middle of a wet evening with occasional thunder to get our beer fix. The ride in the rain was worth it, the BEER... Bleh Not at all... CARLING BRITAINS NUMBER ONE BEER, I did not say that it is written on the bloody Label. Generic Beer at best and too bloody expensive for absolutely no reason. C.B.S.E style point system Color : Buttery Yellow with a Shimmy Finish, just like every other super strong beer on sale in Punjab.
